This pipework we installed over the summer at Becton Dickson Medical in Dun Laoghaire. It was the installation of three large chillers, three sets of filter arrangements, 300mm flow/return pipe runs across the roof and into the clean room. Once in the clean room we installed 300 metre 10” ring main with 30 off 2 ½” valved outlets which was a difficult job due to the fact that it was a working clean room. However we worked with the shift managers to over come any problems. We used pneumatic rams on wheels to install the pipe as this was the cleanest and safest way due to the existing obstacles. All the pipework was thin wall purged welded stainless steel with zinc plated backing flanges.
